    Campaigns

    Campaigns are how you deliver your text message marketing to your subscribers. The Campaigns view display is where you will create, launch, and view reporting. There are two tabs: Pending and Sent.

    Once your campaign has been created and a launch time scheduled, it will appear under the Pending tab in your Campaigns view display until it has launched. It can be edited or deleted while under the Pending tab by clicking one of the icons under the Action column. After launch, it will appear under your Sent tab where you can view reporting stats for your campaign.  

    Both tabs have a search bar at the top; you can search by campaign name or filter by date range.

    How do you create a campaign?

    To create a campaign, select the “Create Campaign” button on your Dashboard or under the Campaigns tab click the + in the upper right-hand corner. There are five text message types available for you to select from the drop-down (Text Only, Text With Link, Survey, Scratch Off, MMS), follow instructions below for each text message type:

    Text Only
    1. Campaign Name: Title your campaign.
    2. Text Message Type: Select Text Only from the drop-down.
    3. To: Select the group(s) you are targeting. The group needs to be created before the campaign.
    4. Message: Type your text message in the message box. You have 160 characters.
    5. Send Test Message: Enter a cell phone number and click send to view your message.
    6. Save to library: Save this message as a template to use again. Select or create anew category (if you leave this blank the template will be saved under Uncategorized tab in your library) and name your template. Click Save.
    7. Schedule: Launch your campaign immediately by clicking Send Now or select Schedule For Later and select a future date and time to launch your message.
    8. Review Message: Review your final campaign details and click Submit if you are satisfied or Back if you need to edit.
    Text With Link
    1. Campaign Name: Title your campaign.
    2. Text Message Type: Select Text With Link from the drop-down.
    3. To: Select the group(s) you are targeting. The group needs to be created before the campaign.
    4. Message: Type your text message in the message box, leaving available characters for your link. You have 160 characters. (You may also add your link before typing your message if you’re concerned about character count.)
    5. Add Link: Enter or Paste your URL and click Add. Your shortened URL will populate in your message box.
    6. Send Test Message: Enter a cell phone number and click send to view your message.
    7. Save to library: Save this message as a template to use again. Select or create anew category (if you leave this blank the template will be saved under Uncategorized tab in your library) and name your template. Click Save.
    8. Schedule: Launch your campaign immediately by clicking Send Now or select Schedule For Later and select a future date and time to launch your message.
    9. Review Message: Review your final campaign details and click Submit if you are satisfied or Back if you need to edit.
    Survey
    1. Campaign Name: Title your campaign.
    2. Text Message Type: Select Survey from the drop-down.
    3. To: Select the group(s) you are targeting. The group needs to be created before the campaign.
    4. Message: Type your text message in the message box, leaving available characters for your survey answers. You have 160 characters total. If you go over, the message and survey answers will not be cut off, but you may be charged for multiple texts.
    5. Survey Answers: Click + Add Survey Answer to begin adding your alphabetical multiple-choice options. After typing your first answer, click Add. Continue clicking + Add Survey Answer until your last choice has been added. To delete any options, click the red trash can.
    6. Send Test Message: Enter a cell phone number and click send to view your message.
    7. Save to library: Save this message as a template to use again. Select or create anew category (if you leave this blank the template will be saved under Uncategorized tab in your library) and name your template. Click Save.
    8. Schedule: Launch your campaign immediately by clicking Send Now or select Schedule For Later and select a future date and time to launch your message.
    9. Review Message: Review your final campaign details and click Submit if you are satisfied or Back if you need to edit.
    Scratch Off
    1. Campaign Name: Title your campaign.
    2. Text Message Type: Select Scratch Off from the drop-down (See Virtual Scratch Off section for instructions on how to create a virtual scratch off. The virtual scratch off needs to be created prior to campaign creation).
    3. To: Select the group(s) you are targeting. The group needs to be created before the campaign.
    4. Message: Type your text message in the message box, leaving available characters for your virtual scratch off link. You have 160 characters. (You may also select your scratch off before typing your message if you’re concerned about character count.)
    5. Virtual Scratch Off: Select the virtual scratch off from the drop-down. It needs to have been created prior to the campaign.
    6. Send Test Message: Enter a cell phone number and click send to view your message.
    7. Save to library: Save this message as a template to use again. Select or create anew category (if you leave this blank the template will be saved under Uncategorized tab in your library) and name your template. Click Save.
    8. Schedule: Launch your campaign immediately by clicking Send Now or select Schedule For Later and select a future date and time to launch your message.
    9. Review Message: Review your final campaign details and click Submit if you are satisfied or Back if you need to edit.
    MMS
    1. Campaign Name: Title your campaign.
    2. Text Message Type: Select MMS from the drop-down.
    3. To: Select the group(s) you are targeting. The group needs to be created before the campaign.
    4. Message: Type your text message in the message box. You have 1600 characters.
    5. Image/Video File: Click Choose File to select your previously saved file. Supported file types include: 'mpeg', 'mp4', 'quicktime', 'webm', '3gpp', '3gpp2', '3gpp-tt', 'H261', 'H263', 'H263-1998', 'H263-2000', 'H264', 'jpeg', 'gif', 'png', 'bmp', 'basic', 'L24', 'mp4', 'mpeg', 'ogg', 'vorbis', 'vnd.rn-realaudio', 'vnd.wave', '3gpp', '3gpp2', 'ac3', 'vnd.wave', 'webm', 'amr-nb', 'amr'. Recommended image size is 500px by 500px.
    6. MMS Content: Once your file is uploaded, view or remove your content.
    7. Send Test Message: Enter a cell phone number and click send to view your message. The uploaded file will always appear before the message.
    8. Save to library: Save this message as a template to use again. Select or create a new category (if you leave this blank the template will be saved under Uncategorized tab in your library) and name your template. Click Save.
    9. Schedule: Launch your campaign immediately by clicking Send Now or select Schedule For Later and select a future date and time to launch your message.
    10. Review Message: Review your final campaign details and click Submit if you are satisfied or Back if you need to edit.

    Campaign Reporting

    Campaign reporting is available after a campaign has launched. Under the Action column, you can select to view a campaign’s details by clicking the eye icon or edit a campaign name by clicking the pencil icon. If you sent a text message with a link, you can view the number of clicks to the URL and observe the CTR, if you sent a survey text message you can view the responses. All text campaigns provide reporting on number of sent, delivered, and opt-outs.

    In the example above, there were 1,881 texts delivered, 0 opt-outs, and 641 clicks to the link included in the message. If the campaign type you sent was a survey, you can view the survey responses under the campaigns Sent tab by clicking on the blue number under the "Survey Responses" column. See example below.
